The essex genealogist
The Society publishes The Essex Genealogist, or TEG, a scholarly genealogical journal on a quarterly basis. This journal contains reports on research in Essex County, Massachusetts, and its environs, transcripts of presentations to the society, queries and other items of interest to the membership. The Essex Genealogist is typically published in February, May, August and November, and is included as a benefit of membership. It can be received either by postal mail or electronically as a downloadable and searchable .pdf file.
Back issues of TEG from 2016 are available on our website in the Members section. You must be a current ESOG member and use the password to access these as .pdf files.
Scanned and searchable back issues of our journal up until five years ago may be found on the American Ancestors website from NEHGS. You can use some of the functionality for free, but must be a member to actually view the page images - instructions are provided.

The essex county cemetery guide
This book, prepared by the Society, is a comprehensive guide to the location of cemeteries in each Essex County town, as well as the location of those cemetery records. It does not list individuals buried in those cemeteries. This soft cover book is 136 pages. The cost is $20.00 plus $5.00 shipping & handling, for a total of $25.00. Please note that there is 6.25% sales tax required for residents of Massachusetts ($1.25).

The Soldiers of the Revolutionary War Section of Union Cemetery in Amesbury, Massachussetts, published by member Lynn Davis, documents the stories of Veterans the oldest cemetery in Amesbury. Started as a personal journey to find Captain John Currier, this is the product of years of history, genealogy and research to document and preserve the records and service of these men. This book chronicles each soldier with a bio, family genealogy, service history, and grave marker history. Many of Amesbury's prominent family names are included in this book and located in this portion of Union Cemetery.
